2018 was a great year for me, it started off with being a featured act with Nature of Wires on the Ohm from Ohm tour. I sang ‘Don’t Wanna’ Nature of Wires remix. It was the first time I had played with a band and it was a great new experience.
I released the single ‘I never thought’ along with the Parralox remix
Over the summer I had another first, playing at a few Pride gigs – which was a completely difference experience from the ‘synth scene’
I released my remix album ‘Quasi-static’ in August. The 7 track album has amazing remixes from Def Neon, Parralox, Real Experts, LorD and Master, Nature of Wires, Arcane, DJ Cutz and aka Baz
During the year I also released a few music videos, I’ll take my chances, ‘I never thought’ and ‘Miss Perfect’ LorD and Master remix.
The Autumn brought more highlights – starting the Synthetic City festival and support Spray on tour
I was proud to be nominated for ‘Best Electro Act’ at the Radio Wigwam awards.
The year ended with ‘Don’t Wanna’ Nature of Wires Remix
charting at number 7 in the Artefaktor Radio awards
My first gig supporting Spray went very well, there we loads of people from my home town Leicester there. It was great to see familiar faces 🙂
The second band on ‘Factory Acts’ unfortunately had to pull out last minute and Vieon stood in. This was good news for me as they were kind enough to let me use their projector and I was able to perform with my visual display again.
It is rather entertaining during Miss Perfect watching the crowd watching the video, as they grind at different parts of it.
Vieon were fantastic as usual and Spray were the loveliest people on and off stage. Jenny’s voice is beautiful x
I’m really looking forward to catching up with them again in Manchester.
As I was first on the bill I was there early and got to watch all the other amazing acts. It was so nice to meet talented, encouraging artists
This was the first time I played my new set, which includes songs from my new remix Album ‘Quasi-static’ It was also the first time I used my visual display – showing videos to the songs on the screen behind me
I played the video for ‘Miss Perfect ‘(LorD and Master Remix) for the first time at the gig, and it went down very well
So recently I was invited by Nature of Wires to perform at three of the Ohm from Ohm tour dates with them, performing their remix of ‘Don’t Wanna’
Nature of Wires – Actress and Bishop
The first date was at the Actress and Bishop is Birmingham in April. Other bands on the line up were The Fixion, Rodney Cromwell and Vieon. The bands alternated the line up each night, but the three nights I did, Nature of Wires were on 2nd.
My song was on 5th, after Time is Come.
Performing at Actress and Bishop
This was the first time I have fronted a band before. Normally I am onstage with just my laptop it took a bit of getting used to having Tim banging behind me .
Performing at The Islington, London
The other two dates were in May. First off at The Islington in London.
Next day was at The Tin Music and Arts in Coventry
Fusion#1 on 25th March, ran by Imran Khan was an amazing night to raise money for the Children’s Cancer Wards at Nottingham University Hospital. This was the first fund raising event that I’ve been involved in as a performer and I very much welcomed to opportunity to get involved in such a great cause.
The Chameleon Arts Cafe was a great little venue to perform in,
Here’s some photos of all of the artist who performed on the day
Paz Alexander, Tori Sheard, Caroline McLavy, Lewis Hall and Jake Burns.
Luke Broughton, Ben Smith, Adi Chase and Warren Ireland.
I’m very pleased to tell you that I will be appearing as ‘special guest’ on three dates on tour with Nature of Wires on their Ohm from Ohm Tour. I will be performing with them at Birmingham, London and Coventry
I will be singing the Nature of Wires remix of ‘I Don’t Wanna’ which will be on the forthcoming remix album.
Here’s a chance to have a listen to this amazing remix
